"We first used Very Important Pets pet sitting services for our dog Henry when he was only 11 weeks old. We needed to go on a last minute trip, and we needed to find someone to look after our ‘baby’ at short notice. Louise from VIP organised a fantastic family to look after our puppy. The organisation of Henry’s stay, the communication with his sitter and payment of the fees was all very simple, straight forward and stress free. Naturally, I was a bit nervous leaving such a young puppy with a pet sitter for the first time. But from the moment I met the family I knew he would be in good hands. Nothing was too much trouble, and Henry was made to feel right at home with his own bed, toys and food. The pet sitter stuck to his normal daily routine and made every effort to keep things as normal as possible for him while we were away, to minimise the stress and disruption involved in being away from home. He went on walks to the park and was able to socialise with other dogs, which he absolutely loves. The pet sitter even kept me updated with text messages while I was away to let me know how he was getting on. When I went to collect Henry I could immediately see how relaxed and at ease he was with the family. I think he was actually a bit disappointed to come home in the end, as he was having such a great time with his sitter.
Henry can be a little shy of people he doesn’t know, and it can take him a while to feel comfortable with new people. I was absolutely delighted on the second occasion we left him with his pet sitter, when he ran straight in the door, said a big hello to the whole family, and made himself right at home. That tells me everything I need to know about the kind of care and attention he receives when we are away. I have absolutely no hesitations about leaving him with his sitter, as I know he’s getting as much love and care as he gets at home. I wouldn’t dream of sending him anywhere else.
I have worked as a vet in the Kingston area for the past 12 months, and I am more than happy to recommend VIP pet sitting service to my clients. I am happy to make that recommendation based on my own person experience with the company, but also because of the many positive reports we have had from clients who have used their service. I think the service is great for anyone who wants the best of care for their pets while they are away, but is of particular value for pets with special needs, those who require regular medication, elderly pets or those who just need that little bit of extra TLC."
